Welcome to PThub! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PThub mobile and web applications ("Services"), operated by the PThub Team ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Purpose

PThub is designed to help Santa Clara University students and surrounding users discover public transportation routes, explore nearby attractions, and learn about their environmental and financial savings by using public transit. Our goal is to encourage greater public transportation use and potentially qualify for programs like free Clipper Cards for students.

Beta Disclaimer

PThub is currently in beta testing. This means the Services are still under development and may have bugs, incomplete features, or unexpected outages. By participating in the beta, you acknowledge and accept that the Services may change or be discontinued at any time without notice.

We appreciate your feedback to help improve PThub.

User Conduct

When using PThub, you agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Misuse or disrupt the Services, servers, or networks connected to the Services.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract source code from our Services.
• Submit false or misleading information (e.g., impersonating others).
• Use the Services in a way that causes harm or inconvenience to others.

Data Collection and Privacy

PThub may collect and process limited location and usage data to deliver core features like navigation, discovery, and environmental impact tracking.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties without your consent.

Third-Party Services

PThub uses third-party services, including but not limited to:

• Google Maps and Places APIs
• HERE Maps APIs
• Yelp APIs
• Public transportation data providers (e.g., VTA)

Your use of these integrated services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Limitation of Liability

PThub provides transportation data and nearby locations for informational purposes only. We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of transit schedules, route information, or external destination details.

By using PThub, you agree that we are not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users via the app or through other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
